This lesson is a review of part I of the course and an introduction to
part II. It examines two questions: a) how does God speak to us? b) how
does God save us? It reviews the three roles of prophet, priest and
king throughout salvation history, shows how Jesus incarnated these
roles, and how he passed them on to the Church so that she could
communicate Him – the way, the truth and the life – to us through
Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition and the Church’s Magisterium. We
also see how God progressively formed His people to be one, holy,
catholic and apostolic.
